Hump day- April 26, 2017
What is hump day? It’s Wednesday. The hump to your work week. 2 days down and 2 days to go. On hump days I will be sharing articles, videos, or other form of entertainment. It will include links to other posts I have liked throughout the week. Some are parenting articles, others are personal finance ones, and occasionally there will be a random funny article. Enjoy!
On this date
Seven Samurai debuted in Japan in 1954. If you like Kung Fu/Martial arts movies, this is one that you must see. It is in black and white, but hey sometimes the oldies are the highest quality.
Hump day articles
Today I have a few posts that I enjoyed in the last few weeks. For me it has been a crazy 10 days. It started with my mom visiting and then my in-laws. They all stayed with us for my son’s 2nd birthday. As they left, we had our friends visit (a family of 4) for the week. As they departed my cousin (the inspiration for tomorrow’s post) came by. After 10 days, my wife and I finally had some down time.
So what do I do? I catch up on some great blogs. So here is this weeks round up.
- From Funding Happy a good article about why Once you’ve bought it, it’s your problem. I could not agree more. As we collect things as gifts or through purchases we are then on the hook for all of it’s maintenance, use, etc. I am finding this to be true about our current home.
- As spring approaches, Mr. Tako Escapes discusses how to be an economic gardner. As someone who has spend well over $1,500 on getting my fruit gardens and vegetable gardens up and running, I should have read this before and saved some cash. The good news is that my cost will be low going forward. Still up front costs are tough.
- From The Three Year Experiment discusses the 1%. As a traveling family they see how good most Americans have it, though we may not feel that way. Head over there and read their article Are you the 1%?
- Finally from Raptitude.com an article about How to do it tomorrow instead of never. Were you good at procrastinating as a kid? Well it may lead to procrastinating habits in your current life.
Alright, there is the round up of some articles throughout the last few weeks. Enjoy.
