Hump Day – March 22, 2017
What is hump day? It’s Wednesday. The hump to your work week. 2 days down and 2 days to go. On hump days I will be sharing articles, videos, or other form of entertainment. It will include links to other posts I have liked throughout the week. Some are parenting articles, others are personal finance ones, and occasionally there will be a random funny article. Enjoy!
Hump Day
On this day in 1963, the Beatles released their first album “Please Please Me”. This include famous hits such as “Please Please Me” and “Love me Do“. A great day as the Beatle’s are an iconic band. The album it’s self did very well and ranks 39th on the Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. The “Fab Four” went on to release 8 albums in the from 1960 to 1970 before breaking up. Quite prolific and quite influential.
Hump Day Parenting
Today I feature Mr. Tako Escapes. A father and early retiree, I aspire to reach his level. He blogs frequently and recently published Investing in…Kids? discussing the positive benefits in child rearing. These include living longer, tax benefits, and child labor…to mention just a few. I can relate to some of these but my 2 year old still is not mowing the lawn.
Enjoy his musings and humorous writing.
Hump Day Finances
Sam at Financial Samurai is one of my favorite writers. I have been reading his blog for years. He is part of the inspiration to start this site. True to his unconventional wisdom, he points out how we can all live like the top one percent without being rich.
I have worked 70+ hours in my life before and do not enjoy or recommend it. So living like the one percent is not all roses.
Hump Day Randomness
The Yellow Submarine Featured film, released in 1968, was not voiced by the Beatles. Only the final scene and the songs include the Beatles real voices. It is a trippy movie and almost 2 hours, but if you have the time feel free to click on the link above.
Also I imagine a toddler made this sign!

Final thoughts
Have a great day today. It is the second day of spring. Day light savings time has come. The days are longer. Enjoy the warmer weather and spend some time with your family. Also do some spring cleaning and declutter the house.
I loved Mr. Tako’s post. Thanks for sharing this hump day roundup. I look forward to more of these in the future.
Thanks for checking out the blog. I will keep pumping them out and as long as one person enjoys them then it was worth it!
